VA Works
About Us

Our story.
Our leadership.

Founded by industry veterans who understand the challenges of scaling home services businesses.

How we started

VA Works did not start as a company. It started with a decision I made back in 2012.

I was an independent real estate agent in Orlando, trying to build something on my own. Like most agents starting out, everything was hard. Generating business, managing clients, staying organized, and trying to grow at the same time. I reached a point where I realized I could not keep doing everything myself.

So I hired my first virtual assistant in Colombia.

That decision changed the trajectory of my career.

What started as one assistant turned into a small team, and that team gave me the ability to focus on what actually moved the business forward. Over time, I went from being a solo agent to building a real estate brokerage that became one of the top 100 in the city of Orlando.

Along the way, that growth was recognized nationally:

But none of that happened without the team behind the scenes.

Eventually, I merged my brokerage with one of the largest independent real estate companies in the world. At that point, I thought I would slow down and focus on originating loans for the agents I had worked so hard to build alongside.

So I started over.

I hired, once again, my first virtual assistant, this time out of Guadalajara, Mexico—Crystal Ceja, who would later become my co-founder at VA Works. At the time, the goal was simple: stay focused, stay small, and just originate.

That did not last long.

Together, Crystal and I built again. I went from loan officer to branch manager, and eventually to division manager, overseeing 10 branches and a growing virtual team supporting operations across the division. We scaled one of the largest divisions within our independent mortgage bank, producing over $150 million dollars annually and helping nearly 400 families each year.

During that time, I was also recognized within the mortgage industry:

But what stood out was not just the production.

It was the system.

Other leaders inside the company started asking how we were doing it. They began using our virtual assistant model within their own teams. Then brokers, mortgage banks, and real estate companies outside of our organization started reaching out, asking for the same support.

At a certain point, it became clear that what we had built was bigger than our division.

So we made the decision to go all in.

VA Works was built to bring that same system to businesses across the country. Not as a general virtual assistant company, but as a company built by operators who understand real estate, mortgage, and home services from the inside.

Today, we support some of the top mortgage banks, brokerages, and home service companies in the United States.

But the reason we do this is simple.

I know what it feels like to be in the business, doing everything yourself, knowing you can grow, but not having the structure to do it.

VA Works exists to give that structure to others.
